Undoubtedly Minecraft is a video game that marked a before and after in the sandbox world, although many associate this game with young children actually moves a huge community. It is a video game that gave total freedom to its players, there are no objectives or a story as such, you are free to do and imagine what you want within your world generated with cubes. Although its purchase by Microsoft left the community worried at the beginning, the truth is that in the end it did not affect the game much, all the improvements that come to us follow their usual course of feeling like very little for the millions that moves this game.

What we all know as Minecraft is the version created in Java, which is undoubtedly the most complete, although it is also the one with the worst performance precisely because of the programming language used. In July 2015 Microsoft released Minecraft Bedrock for Windows 10 with a much higher performance than the original version for being written in C++ but inferior in content since this version was born from the Pocket Edition, which was a mobile version reduced in content. As an incentive for this release, all owners of the Java version obtained a code to redeem in the Windows Store and get the Bedrock version for free.

Today the official Minecraft Twitter account announced that the two versions (Java and Bedrock) will be sold together as a single pack at $29.99 and for those who own only the Java version will get the Bedrock version totally free when downloading the Minecraft launcher update through the Windows Store. For those who don't know Mojang accounts moved to Microsoft accounts and the Java version is now played with the launcher downloaded from the Windows Store with your Microsoft account. Having the launcher updated shows you the two versions of the game and if you don't have the Bedrock version you will see a button to get it totally free.

It should be noted that the Bedrock version has changed a lot since its beginnings, now it even has exclusive objects that are not in the Java version, so it could be said that it is even a different experience in a way. This version of Bedrock, being programmed in another language, its mechanics do not work the same as the Java version, which prevents replicating the redstone mechanisms that allow you to make mobs farms to farm resources within the game, this makes many veteran players remain in the Java version without giving a real chance to the Bedrock version. In the end, no matter how much the Bedrock version is compared, the original will always be the Java version.
