Attitude to learn

Greetings to all, I have been absent lately for work reasons. These last two weeks a staff came from another state to teach us how to use a new administrative system.

According to the experts, it takes 90 days to establish a new habit. The equivalent of 3 months for a person to accept an idea. This is closely related to what we call resistance to change and this influences when it comes to learning new things.

But those weeks I have noticed something very particular, when a person does something he likes or is passionate about, he can learn new things almost without realizing it.

On the contrary, when we do not have the right attitude there is no way to learn. I saw several people that from the beginning were going with a negative mentality, that the new system was very difficult, that it has many steps, that the previous one is better, that it is better to look for a younger person, that I am almost going to retire and a thousand other excuses.

When we condition our brain with these kinds of thoughts we are telling it that these new skills we are trying to learn are not good and therefore we enter into conflict.

I was quite interested in learning how to use this new system but above all in learning the correct process to perform each of the activities that correspond to me in order to do my job in a better way.

My partner and I attended these classes for two weeks and learned new things and clarified many doubts.

When you have to learn something new it is best to go with a good attitude, this makes it easier to fix the knowledge and understand everything they are teaching us. Besides, everything we learn is always good and can be useful at some point.

Personally I was very satisfied with everything I learned because it is not only knowledge at a work level, but also at a personal level and these are the most important because they are useful for life.
