Perhaps everyone knows that there are tremendous effect in engaging in sporting activity but just a few people knows that sports is very vital in fighting depression, anxiety, stress and more.

Sport energize our focus and regular physical activity helps keep our key mental skills sharp as we age. Several brain energizing hormones are calmed as a person gets older as in turn reduces the sharp functionality of the brains (Brain power), sporting activities as it has been established already to have the ability of sharpening our mental skills, and this includes sharp thinking, learning, and using good judgment.

Research has proven that sporting activity (exercise) is especially important in patients with schizophrenia since these patients are already vulnerable to obesity and also because of the additional risk of weight gain associated with antipsychotic treatment, especially with the atypical antipsychotics.

Maintaining a sound mental health is very paramount in our day to day engagement and dealings with people.

The benefits of sporting activities come directly from its ability to reduce insulin resistance, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the release of growth chemicals in the brain that affect the health of brain cells, the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, and even the abundance and survival of new brain cells.

Studies show that exercise can treat mild to moderate depression as effectively as antidepressant medication—but without the side-effects, of course. As one example, a recent study done by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health found that running for 15 minutes a day or walking for an hour reduces the risk of major depression by 26%.

This are the sports for brain development which includes individual sports such as:

  • gymnastics,
  • diving,
  • figure skating,
  • tennis,
  • golf,
  • swimming.
  • dance.

As a conclusion, i summit that the world health organization should at seldom times organize sporting activities such as the afore mention to boost the brain power of the people to fight anxiety and depression as well.
