I'll start with this "hanging bridge" as we call it, this bridge connects to the villages unto the right side. It was mainly built because the old market which no longer exists now was on the left side, so it's function was to service the people coming from the villages which is still part of our town plus it serves as an access to the people coming from the next town as well. Now this bridge is also an important part of out town because it serves as a shortcut for the people from the other side of the river.

This hanging bridge is actually renovated already, my last trip to it was when my College buddies crossed it for our aim to go to the garbage dumpsite so that we can take a photo of it for our project during that year. I also received a good amount of cursing from one of my buddies because during that time the pathway is just made with 2x4 wooden boards and because of that you can see the water of the river below. However tricycles and motorbikes can also use it as well. There was a wobble on that bridge when people uses it to cross on either other side which is why if you are not used to it you will definitely feel the heebie-jeebies.

The municipal town hall, this building also has been renovated, it was made to be with a higher flooring because our town really is a catch basin in our province. In fact if you take out the house along the McArthur hi-way, all you can see are marsh lands and rice paddies although most had been converted to housing subdivisions and other commercial complexes and business particularly along the high-way.

I am emphasizing the Municipal Townhall because I had a lot of experience going to and from it for various reasons. If you haven't known already, I am a dialysis patient for a long time, it has been hard for me to sustain my health needs because of poverty considering that I can't work, I have no health insurance, and not getting any financial support but from my brother only, particularly from the past when I literally have no means of supporting myself financially.

So I resorted in asking financial assistance from our Town's mayor, not only from him but also from the elected District congressman and also from the office of the governor. Anyway, I do had a lot of trips on that entrance of the Townhall ranging from getting my voter's I.D., residence certificate, taking a check from the mayor, and also getting a document which is required to use for some other medical and financial requests from politicians and the charity service of my country's government. The trips to and from it are not fun of course but at least I was able to get things done for my purposes.

The Fluvial parade is one of the events of the week-long "Fiesta" or feast of our town. It is participated by all villages or "Barangays". It happens around the 23rd of June, the feast of Saint John the Baptist, so the residents of the "Town proper" would be the host for their respective friends, neighbors, or relatives to come and eat in their house, they would of course had prepare various dishes for all the guests to eat. Lots of merry-making everywhere, singing in Karaoke, parties, and drinking.

The fluvial parade starts with dances in the street which is participated by representatives of the Barangays or villages. Every barangay also has their Patron saint to include in the procession, in my barangay we have the "Santa Cruz" or Holy Cross, that is why when our barangay will set a feast of its own, it will be called as the feast of Santa Cruz. The same merry-making and all that fun except from dancing on the street but a procession and the Holy mass of the Catholics. All events by the way would start by attending the Holy mass from the point of origin.

The highlight of the Fluvial parade was on the river, each barangay will have a big boat, usually rented and will get adorned by anything from artificial flowers, simple banners, to garbage and a bunch of ugly and wet people. There aren't even uniforms to wear, most people just wants to go and ride the boat which is actually fun because part of the parade was to throw plastic bags of water to and from these scantly adored and ugly boats with ugly people in them. All in all it was fun because most people are not always riding boats and getting a good amount of trip to our pristine river which is known for having Tiger prawns which you can harvest if you know how to fish them out from the waters of the river.

There aren't many things our town has to offer except when there are annual feast of the Town and the feast of the villages that comprises the town and of course it includes the Christmas season and the New Year celebration although the New Year has been not so fun because of the banning of the use of the traditional fireworks which is very good because it reduces the accidents, but for having a great fun at the new years eve, it was never the same as before.

However, our town is adjacent to the city which is the capital of our province. There are many places you can go and have some fun there. The city has a lot of malls and restaurants which is what may people wants to go just to eat and buy things, the malls are cool which is why it is a whole lot of experience for people who do not own airconditiong system in their houses. But if our townsfolks wants go to other places to have some more fun and experiences, they are near because manila is almost an hour away by car.

This hanging bridge is actually renovated already, my last trip to it was when my College buddies crossed it for our aim to go to the garbage dumpsite para makuhanan namin ito ng litrato para sa project namin sa taong iyon. There was a wobble on that bridge when people use it to cross on either other side kaya naman kung hindi ka sanay siguradong mararamdaman mo ang heebie-jeebies.

Cruz. The same merry-making and all that fun except from dancing on the street but a procession and the Holy mass of the Catholics.

Wala man lang uniporme na masusuot, karamihan sa mga tao ay gusto lang sumakay sa bangka which is actually fun because part of the parade was to throw plastic bags of water to and from these scanntly adored and pangit na bangka na may mga pangit na tao.
