Hello, my record of the day this Tuesday has little to refer to regarding my #life, because I have had a pleasant calm day and without major personal incidents, seriously I do not know who said that "not having news, it is a good news”, pointing out that what is generally considered news by the media is what we generally call bad news.

If I went into details of the news from my current #Venezuela, well, there is a whole uproar with the news of the arrest of government officials, with accusations of corruption, among which the "disappearance" of some 3 billion dollars stands out. , and that is only one of the cases, if one digs a little, one can be scared to discover similar cases that add up to several million million dollars that were illegally stolen from public coffers in the last two decades, but without having a serious investigation or without anyone being surprised (of the theft or the absence of those guilty of the theft).

In fact, as things have been in this 21st century, one is rather surprised if there is any government official who is not implicated in some corruption case. Unfortunate, but it has already been normalized that corruption is part of the administrative and governmental culture that we have.

Let's move on to comment on the anniversary of #History for this Tuesday, which, according to what I saw in the list of calendars, has many things, but I decided on one that has to do with social networks and technology. Today is the anniversary of the Online launch of #Twitter, the Microblogging Social Network that managed to establish itself since 2006 as a reference in its format. This platform, with a mandatory brevity in its contents, has completed 17 years of service today, in which it led an entire generation to begin to structure their thinking in 140 characters, although in more recent years they raised it to 280.

I remember that a decade ago this social network was on a very good run and I was quite hooked on its use, well, even today I usually go through my Twitter timeline and see what news or trends are published. A point that caught my attention a few weeks ago, is that I saw a graph of active users of social networks (organized according to the millions of active users that each one has) and I found that Twitter was in the thing of 14 other platforms, I was really surprised, I did not know that it was so low in the preferences of Internet users today.

I suppose that over time the novelty was lost, in addition to the emergence of other social networks that focused on different content or offered additional things. Although in the list that I comment, it happens that an old network, the case of Facebook, was leading the number of active users in the world... I was surprised, but I thought that it has to do with the various updates and expansions that this social network has had .

In spite of everything, I think that the influence that Twitter had has been quite remarkable, in fact, when I taught undergraduate classes at the University, I found that the students were so used to writing with emoticons, strange abbreviations and in an extremely brief way, who found it difficult to maintain attention in academic texts, were terrified of the task of reading paragraphs or pages full of content. It was a generation that wanted everything reduced to a kind of slogan, so summarized that it didn't really help them understand anything, but it gave them the impression that this was the best.

Actually, I remember there was the old saying that if a good thing is brief, then it is doubly good, but in academia, being concise is not necessarily best, everything you do should be explained completely, briefly , but complete, that is the question that made the students suffer the most that I remember.

Well, I think it's time to close the publication, I wish you are well and that we can read each other again another time.
