The mysteries of Istanbul await you...

The invitation from a short man in a sheepskin jacket with a pink collar is too tempting to refuse.

Who wouldn't want to be in Europe and Asia at the same time in an intercontinental city?

Fate cannot be escaped

When the Genie coming out of a lamp in a mysterious room of the Grand Bazaar consisting of 62 streets and 4000 shops says 'You have 3 wishes, wish me whatever you wish', I can stand as still as a petrified statue. When I get over the initial shock, I make my first wish.

After a while I make the second wish, and after a while I make the third wish and cut off my contact with the Genie. But none of these rights would lead to long conversations, in depth and in breadth.

I may want eternal union with someone who can give me the conditions I want, but when you limit it to 3, the definition of eternal shrinks. Daily, hourly, maybe momentary!

List your wishes and get rid of them, and both sides are happy!

The wisher because he gets his wishes and the wish-fulfiller because he gets his freedom. When we live in an environment contrary to our nature, deformation is an inevitable outcome. I am talking about deformation that will affect the body, mind or life as a whole.

It's like telling a fish taken out of the water to live on land for a while, where the act of keeping it alive is actually killing it. Keeping someone we love very much with us all the time, knowingly or unknowingly restricting their freedom, can turn into lovelessness after a while. We may not lose our love, but we cannot be sure that we will be loved.

From being loved to being hated!

Hope is a way of life, but when it is instilled too much, it becomes a monster and you become its toy. The analogy of monster and toy is a quote from the movie, but it is a fact of the world that hope makes a person too lonely.

Three Thousand Years of Longing, a romantic, fantasy and drama movie, is solely responsible for the thoughts I have listed above. Instead of recommending watching the movie, I prefer to ask myself 'what did I watch?'

Tilda Swinton as Alithea Binnie deserves all the praise I can give her, but what I really want to say is Idris Elba as Cin. In addition to watching it, it was a pleasure to listen to him talk about the Hürrem Sultan and Köse Sultan periods of the Ottoman Empire.

Even though some facts in history are distorted, they don't really stand out when you watch the movie. I think the analogy of the "barren mule born from the union of a horse and a donkey" was meant to describe sustainability. When a new mule is needed, the horse and donkey will be needed again. This dialogue was my favorite scene in the film.
