According to legend, giant beam stalk-wielding invaders from the Gantua region between Earth and Heaven allegedly attacked the kingdom of Cloister in Albion before being routed by King Eric while donning a magic crown. Jack Nicholas Hoult, an 18-year-old farmer and daydreamer, has been captivated by this story since he was a little child. Jack defends the honor of Princess Isabelle Eleanor Tomlinson, who is also a fan of the legend and is surreptitiously present in the neighborhood, when he goes to the market to sell his uncle's horse and cart in order to buy supplies to repair the farmhouse roof.
Then, as he is being pursued by troops, he discovers a monk who has taken magic beams from Roderick Stanley Tucci, a villain. In exchange for Jack's horse and the chance to escape, the monk provides him the beams. When Jack demonstrates the beams to his uncle, the latter hurls them to the ground in retaliation for his nephew's lack of knowledge. While this is going on, Isabelle leaves the castle to pursue her own adventure. However, she runs into a storm and, ironically, seeks shelter at Jack's farm. The princess-trapped Jack's mansion is engulfed by a huge beam stalk that grows when one of the beams is watered.
King Brahmwell Ian McShane sends a troop of Isabelle's guardians to find her when he and his knights enter Jack's realm. Jack offers to go with them. When Roderick and his right arm Wicke Ewen Bremner severed the cord, the majority of the knights perished. They immediately locate the Gantua region and learn the existence of the giants. Will they succeed in rescuing Princess Isabelle? What evil intentions do Wicke and Roderick harbor?
The comedy and action-packed plot of the family-friendly movie "Jack the Giant Slayer" is amusing. Excellent special effects are employed.
