This is to give an update on the development of Blurtkey. As mentioned in my previous post, Blurtkey v1.0.1 has been published to Google Play.
Over the weekend and a one day holiday we had this Monday, I worked on publishing Blurtkey to the App Store. Unfortunately, the submission was rejected and I need to modify the app and some app information before re-submitting for review. In this update, I share with you the review comments from App Store Review and what I plan to do to resolve them.
For those who want to have early access to the app via TestFlight, please send me a DM in discord so that I can add you to the list of TestFlight users.
There were a lot of issues I had to resolve to get the app to this point. Just to name a few:
- I had to make sure that the app can be built - estimate took a day to troubleshoot and resolve
- Building and deploying the app to simulator
- Waiting for my Developer Account to be approved (I thought that once you paid the developer fee, you immediately will have access to the page to upload your app, which wasn't the case. I had to wait for my application/account to be approved before I can submit an app for review)
- Releasing and uploading the app to AppStore
1. Demo App
Here's a the last demo video I created for this app.
2. App Store Review
I won't be posting the actual words written in the email but provide an explanation of the item App Store Review is asking to revise.
- Guideline 1.5 - Safety - Developer Information
- I submitted the https://discord.gg/XqeDuSXU6p URL as support URL.
- As per Guideline, app’s support URL should direct users to a webpage with support information
- SOLUTION: I created a SUPPORT.md in Blurtkey's repository
- Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
- In AppStore Connect, I indicated that the app does not contain, show, or access third-party content. However, App Store Review doesn't think it to be the case because of the Browser functionality available within the app
- SOLUTION: Since the app's main function is to act as a wallet, I removed the Browser function
- Guideline 2.3.3 - Performance - Accurate Metadata
- Reviewer mentioned that the screenshots I submitted for 5.5-inch iPhone screenshots were insufficient. I only submitted the splash screen and username and key input pages
- SOLUTION: I re-ran the app in XCode iPhone8 Plus simulator and took some screenshots inside the wallet
- Guideline 4.0 - Design
- Reviewer mentioned that the user is taken to the default web browser to register for an account which provides a poor user experience.
- SOLUTION: Create a new page within the app that lets user signup for a Blurt account. I'll take a look into LetBlurt on how he did it.

This update is better. I understand that. This app will work well. slowly everything will be fine
Sir! I think you will have to do a lot of things to run it properly. It seems sometimes l very hard for my Android phone. It hangs it. Sometimes it shows nothing within the app. After updating , what will it behave don't know, I am going to update it once again.
Can you please provide some screenshots on how the app behaves on your phone and at which point that the app hangs or shows as blank?
Yeah! Here is two major problems:
1: fingerprint sensor doesn't work:
2: After entering pin, mobile hang on:
