Master craft market in Belgrade

in blurtphoto •  last year

Hello everyone, 😊 Let's walk around together and see what is offered on the streets of my city, Belgrade.

At this time of year, I often walk downtown with my children. Autumn is inspiring and there are always some interesting events. I am a fan of master craft markets and whenever we come across one I like to see what is being sold there.

This time, completely unexpectedly while walking along Knez Mihailova street, the main walking area of Belgrade, we came across the master craft market. My son was a little impatient because he wanted us to get to the park as soon as possible, but I managed to convince him to stop by the market. 😊

I love the unique works of art that are created in the craft workshops by creative people. They often get the opportunity to display, promote and sell their products at such markets. I appreciate their efforts and I am always happy to buy something.

The first product we came across were wooden puzzles, excellent for developing brain circuits for both children and adults.

Then we saw some unique jewelry. In front of us stood a young man who was probably choosing jewelry to impress his girlfriend. 😊

The prices were affordable compared to nowadays price jump, but I think that when the things are unique and handmade, the prices should not be questioned. Every artist and craftsman has the freedom to value his work as he sees fit.

My son stopped next to the handmade toys. He is a lover of lions, so he found a lion toy that he really liked.

And the dolls on sticks were interesting to me. 😊 They cost 4 euros.

One girl was selling interesting simple earrings. I love earrings, but my ears don't take jewelry well.

There were also other handmade items such as jewelry boxes.

A big crowd formed at the stand selling succulent plants in beautiful pots.

There were more stands with jewelry as well as unique clothes.

I really liked this dress, but 40 euros was too much for me at that moment.

I also liked the cup stand. They resembled some that my great-grandmother had and that my mom now has.

There were also cosmetic products for face and body care, handmade soaps and others.

I especially liked the stand with pictures and works of art made from natural materials, for example from pebbles, because I also have the idea to make something from the pebbles that I collected by the sea this summer.

I'm a foodie so I had to stop at dried meat products. Delicious prosciutto and bacon were sold there, which of course we had to try and buy. 😊

When we visited all the stands, we headed to the park because my son had already lost his patience. But he was happy that we bought prosciutto. 😊 We had a great day.

Thank you very much for reading.

The images and writing are original and mine.
