Dictates Of Life
Life is a commander in chief
Every creature must obey
To enjoy its proceedings,
Or disobey to suffer each
Consequence for disobedience.
First of, life comes assuring us of
An unavoidable impending death;
Inculcating in us the fair awareness
That we're living to die someday,
Proffering an option to live well or not.
Give if you must receive in turn,
Sow if you must reap an harvest,
You can't get something from nothing.
Life makes you work for rewards,
Else, you make it hard on you.
Listen to understand, don't just hear;
Speak to be heard, don't just shout;
Seek companionship with others
And don't just live in isolation,
Because no one thrives well alone.
Be kind to others and find kindness;
Love others as you would you're loved.
Life fairly rewards good deeds done,
It may take a while too long,
Surely, the seeds planted will ripen.
"Life is not fair" many sadly confess,
What did they sow into life? –
Because life produces in multiple fold
What has been deposited into it.
It gives the order; obey and enjoy it's rewards.
