Finishing up a 40 gram batch of cannabis oil medicine

2 weeks ago I showed how I evaporate the solvent from my cannabis oil. Come with me as I finish preparing this batch for medicinal application!

That's what's left after 2 weeks of evaporation. As a reminder, I used a nylon to keep debris out of the solvent, which looked like this:

Now, about 85% of the volume has evaporated off, leaving a tacky black oil. And there's no dirt or dust on the surface, thanks to the nylon! It's so shiny, you can see my ceiling light in the reflection:

An optional step, which I usually include, is oven proofing the oil. Generally that means about 45 minutes at 210oF. This ensures complete decarboxylation of the cannabinoids, making them orally viable. It also guarantees the solvent (in this case, isopropyl alcohol), water, and any other volatiles are fully evaporated from the medicine. Lastly, warming the oil makes it easier to get into storage.

Because next, I draw up the oil into syringes.

These ones are 5 mL each. Syringes (without a needle) store the oil, keep it sterile, and help with measuring out doses.

It can then easily be stored, or dispensed out into capsules, 1 gram at a time. Each of these capsules contains about 500mg of THC, which is 100 times a legal dose, so they are not for beginners.

It takes 60 grams of cannabis oil to cure most cancers, so this 40 gram batch is a lifesaving amount.

Cannabis could singlehandedly replace most of our healthcare system and the global oil industry. No wonder it is still prohibited, even in Canada where it is "legalized"!

I will continue to make cannabis oil at home, and teach others how to do it too, until cannabis prohibition finally ends!

Very nice, keep it up.

That stuff was really fun and very medicinal. Had proper sleeps for the first time in like forever, but made stinky farts, hahaha. I hope the disbelievers reap all the medical benefits of not taking it lol.

Wow! I'm sure you don't want to get that stuck in your hair! Maybe I need to start making that now that I can easily get my hands it.

It's very discreet (small and odourless) in this form, for when that is important. Takes up less space for travel, doesn't require smoking (can just be added to food), can be melted into coconut/olive oil and used topically, etc. If you can find pure ethanol there (sometimes sold at various strengths, mixed with water, as a drink... but sometimes can be found near 100% strength to be used as a really good solvent) I would recommend using that.

It is hard to get Cannabis in Lagos. Though some people have it but you may not know people who have it because it is highly prohibited. Anyone they catch with Cannabis is going to jail or pay some fine.
