Hard to post

This weekend my phone fell in the toilet and I couldn't return any of your messages. I am sorry for the delay. Since the phone was submerged in water it took a long time to dry out. I'm lucky it is working at all now and I'm letting you know that although I missed your weekend messages I am here now and ready to have some fun on this bright sun shinning Monday afternoon.

Let's Play

I'm ready to step outside and play if you are. What is that you say? Did you say you are still not convinced of my excuse? I don't blame you. Maybe you felt like I was blowing you off the whole weekend. I might as well let you in on the whole story.

It was Friday afternoon and the school cafeteria had just served Banana, Rice, Apples and Toast for lunch. After 45 minutes my BRAT stomach was telling me to run to the nearest toilet.

Our school still hasn't remodeled the toilets from the old squat toilet style. I guess there are some advantages because I won't catch any disease off the toilet seat as there is no toilet seat. The disadvantage is that I like to keep my phone in my back pocket and when there is an emergency I don't think a lot about the physics of the issue:

The Laws of Physics

An object at rest remains at rest, or if in motion, remains in motion at a constant velocity unless acted on by a net external force.

image.png

That net external force was the force of gravity released through the unbuckling of my pants and the opening of my back pocket to set my phone in motion. I grabbed it out of the water quick, but the entire phone had been submerged and nothing worked.

I shut the phone off and tried to turn it back on again to get it to work, but that was a mistake. When it didn't work I did some research as what to do. I should keep the phone turned off for a while and open it up to dry.

I let it dry for a couple days and now it works just fine. I know I missed my appointment to help Timmy with his math homework. I also missed cousin Eitan's Bar Mitzvah. I'm so sorry Uncle Joey. I sent a check in the mail.

What hot dog?

Now I just checked my mail and group chats. I completely forgot the church picnic. Oh, I was supposed to prepare the hot dogs. I knew there was a reason I kept a 120 frozen hot dogs in our freezer. It just didn't dawn on me until now. At least someone else brought the buns. I've got a hundred and twenty hot dogs with no buns. But I do have some mustard and ketchup and as long as these hot dogs are sitting here with nothing to do I might as well take a bite now.

Party all week

Better yet. I am keeping the 119 hot dogs for a party to celebrate the end of this weekend and the beginning of a new week. Anyone who makes it to Seoul this week can give me a call on my phone, if it is still working. I will give you one of the hot dogs I have in the freezer. If I'm in a good mood I may even order a Pizza for you and show you around the palace.

My neighbor turned his house into a museum so you are free to visit anytime and with the Korean Won being so weak these days everything is a bargain. Maybe I should buy a new phone.

Choose a sentence to finish from the below list and write at least 300 words to complete it:

This weekend my phone fell in the toilet and I...

All photos were taken with my cell phone. This story is fiction. Any similarities to actual events and names are purely coincidence but the hot dogs are real.

Wow you are so lucky got it back on I think it might because a lot of them are sort of set my waterproof these days I’m still too nervous to try but I think they are designed to with take a bit of water unlike back in the old days where of it even touch the spray of water it would immediately stop working

I would not recommend getting a phone wet intentionally. LOL

I am so careful with my Smartphone that I bought from October of 2017, it still has no scratches but the 5,000 MaH battery is as weak as me.

I used to squat too but it changed after my backbone had collapsed, but in my opinion it is better to sit but you have to make sure that the seat is relatively clean. 😉

Yep, true story.
