The moon is one of the things that are photographed: mystery, romance, curiosity, security, peace... That is why it is often used in advertising. Photographing the moon is not complicated, really. First of all, using the moon photo, we have to remember that the moon is white and the sky is cloudy (let's think about it, especially when we are in an environment where there is no sign of earth). This visual disappointment is all the more similar to the moon taken in the photo: the sea surface reflects the moon and the "white ball" in the sky can disappoint us a lot and the analysis of the moon can also mean much less than. half of what we see in person.

Come risolvere? Semplice: lunga lunghezza focale.
Rivelazione

How to solve? Simple: long focal length. Instead of taking a big picture of the universe, let's limit it to its size. Considering that the "rest" of the image is very dark, using a longer exposure will make the disappointment appear (compression does its job!) A good exposure is probably 85 or 100 mm. If you don't have one and don't want to spend money to buy a new lens, consider focal multipliers: these "tubes" cost a pittance. Pay attention to what you want to photograph: are you interested in the ocean, a large well, the sun, or even a small moon? You will need a telephoto or large telephoto lens, 200-500 mm. With a catadioptric and a 2x focal multiplier, I was able to get very impressive results!

We do not take night photographs. Remember this and you can take beautiful pictures: the moon is especially bright, especially if it will be in most of our position. That's fine (we'll see more about that period later) but it's bad because of the strong contrast the moon has with other things, especially if there's not much in it. What about the spectacle? Publicity means covering the moon with gray and making the sky bright, looking for the moon means having everything else black, looking for the sky means having a white ball instead of the moon.

Diaframma

The solution is in post-production: take two photos, one of the moon (so we don't think about the others), the other the other (so we don't think about the moon). Photoshop will add the photos in seconds, and you'll get the results you're looking for
The moon is a clear theme: time is short--even if it means not having a tripod (I don't recommend it). 1/100 or 1/200 may be fine, depending on the evening (and thus how bright the moon is), aperture, and of course the ISO you choose.
Is too little to say: it takes a month without noise. ISO 100, not another step.
Aperture

open means lose meaning and closed. experiment a bit, in any case you need to work with a more closed aperture, say more than f/10 (assuming a telephoto lens, of course).

What else? tripod and remote trigger, wired or radio frequency-this is important if you're going to take two pictures. Don't forget to focus on infinity and maybe shoot in RAW and move on to processing. Don't forget to check the weather!
