Photography: The View of Asir Asir Village in Takengon

in photography •  last year

When I was driving to Takengon Town, I just passed by Asir Asir Village, one of oldest village in Takengon Town of Gayo Highlands. The village is close to Laut Tawar Lake, and not so far from the heart of Takengon Town. Before passing the bridge, I captured the view there using my Iphone. There is a river to split the village. The river is outing of Lake Tawar Tawar. The lake is one of the biggest in Sumatra Island.

If you found a Germany flag here, you must be curious, so that I am. Someone has placed the flag with a pole there. I guess the one who did it is Germany Football Team fan. Maybe he support Germany in World Cup last year.

If we found a flag like this, we might think this is in Germany, in rural area. But this is not in Germany, it’s in Gayo Highlands of Sumatra Island, Indonesia.
