The Law of the Jungle in a Civilized Society

When I was young, I also went to the field to do the "thinning out seedlings" farm work, that is, to pull out the weak or poor seedlings from the growing corn seedlings, leaving only the strong one. As for trees, humans will also prune and remove dead branches, so that trees can grow into towering ones.

The way human beings treat these plants is like the jungle law of nature, where the weak will stand as an easy prey to the strong and the fittest can survive, while those old, weak, sick and disabled - the weak are eliminated (eaten) by the strong. Of course, there are also things that humans deliberately cut down and destroy. For plants, this is a natural disaster and man-made disaster, which plants cannot control by them. Like earthquakes, floods and plagues in the world, human beings can no longer control them.

Humans often condemn the cruelty of lions, tigers, wolves, hyenas and other ferocious animals, and show mercy to weak animals such as sheep, deer, cattle, and even criticize the "jungle law" for this.

In Northern Europe, wolves often stole sheep, and people worried that wolves would eat all the sheep one day. For this reason people organized to kill the wolves, but after a year or two, they found that the number of sheep was even less. How did this happen? Because of the loss of the wolves, the sheep relaxed and never got prepared for any eventualities. The quality of the whole sheep was also declining, which also led to an increase in the probability of disease. In this way, the number of sheep eliminated was higher than the number of sheep eaten by the wolves.

Those who are eaten by beasts are old, weak, sick and disabled. Only after these weak ones are eliminated, can their overall quality be improved, can weak animals become more alert and diligent, and can they learn more survival skills.

A deer was drinking water by the river, and a lion came running quickly. Almost being caught, the nimble deer took a make-believe running, turned around and ran towards the direction of the lion coming. The lion could hardly stop because it ran too fast, and it had no time to turn around.

It can be seen that under the law of the jungle, if the weak want to survive, they can only constantly improve their own skills, or becoming a beast like a lion or a tiger, or having the ability to escape from the beasts.
The wisdom of human beings is also applicable to animals.

Human society has changed from barbarism to civilization. Similarly, the rules of the jungle have also changed - from naked and bloody killing to cruel competition, from open to underground.

In fact, the law of the jungle has never disappeared. It is meaningless for the weak to blindly condemn the strong, nor can it change this situation. As to animals or humans, striving to become strong and not being eaten or eliminated, is the rule of survival and the rule of the jungle in a civilized society.
