When bitcoin was first created, it changed the way we would see transactions since the Bitcoin White Paper was published on October 31, 2008, under MIT license to a group of cryptographers, with a "peer-to-peer (P2P) electronic cash system (the ability of two people to make transactions without an intermediary or a third party, there is no bank, a person sends cryptocurrency from his wallet to another).

Where this also gave the advantages as:

  • Obtain great benefits, but at the same time, high risks because of its volatility.
  • There is a decentralized data storage registry.
  • They are in operation 24 hours a day.
  • There is no bank, no third parties.
  • Refuge from inflation

Nowadays, the great majority have investments or acquired cryptocurrency since it is a means that can be had only by making the purchase, not having an intermediary in anyone. In Latin American countries such as Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, countries with higher adoption of cryptocurrency as these countries live super inflation that the citizens of each country make acquire it so that their money is not devalued, is one of the significant advantages that since the arrival of cryptos in the world, like the one that is among the first in Nigeria.

Decentralization like Blurt

Blurt is a decentralized platform where we can get rewards in different ways:

  • Publishing.
  • Commenting.
  • Curating 50% of earnings.
  • Stacking 2.34% APR.

If we have different opportunities to obtain Blurt, it is a cryptocurrency with its potential. Where we have seen countries that have taken refuge to get an income and be able to receive rewards, you have been creating and sharing content, the same that we named above, including Nigeria, Mexico, and Venezuela, publish here in Blurt, looking for a way out of their crisis.

Blurt could incentivize Savings

We see in our Blurt wallet that we have a section to save our Blurt in the form of savings only to withdraw in three days. But, still, we need to see an incentive where some users can also have an interest in savings, which could start with a percentage of 25%. It would make that not only help the person stack their coins but also encourage them to save, making them want to have more token blurt in their savings, making their users see this coin sell, stack, and keep, making its value increase because they have the incentive to have this coin.

Just as these countries named above want to have it as a way to save because their fiat currency is rising every day more devalued, the poverty rate is higher, as is Venezuela and Nigeria.

That is why the witnesses will choose to support and encourage savings. Blurt has the potential; we need to value what we have here.

This idea of saving is very good, it would encourage the use of the platform, the retention of users, in the savings section. I liked your idea, it could attract many people.

I also thought of an achievement dynamic where the user is rewarded for using the platform, an example: The user would be rewarded for reaching a certain number of publications or having a certain number of blurt power in your account.

The idea is to retain users and motivate them to continue creating content and rewarding them in a way so that they are motivated to create more content and so it is a chain, the platform would grow more and more. Hopefully the developers can see it.

This post is very informative. Now, I know why Nigeria, Venezuela and Mexico use cryptocurrencies. It would be great also if APR will be raised so many will be lured to avail.

Anyway, thanks for your insightful post. Looking forward for more.

Thank you for stopping by and for your valuable input.

Great post …

I recommended 20 - 30% APR in Blurt Savings account to compete with HBD Savings (20% APR) a long time ago but the idea was rejected …. You can earn 23% with Atom on Osmosis Zone / Keplr.

Osmosis Zone : https://osmosis.zone/
Keplr: https://www.keplr.app/

That was a brilliant suggestion by you. Innovation is the only key to bringing people on Blurt.

Hopefully, they will hear you soon!
