قیام اللیل ایک اسلامی اصطلاح ہے جس سے مراد رات میں، عشاء کی نماز کے بعد اور فجر کی نماز سے پہلے کی جانے والی نفلی نماز ہے۔ اسے تہجد کی نماز بھی کہا جاتا ہے جس کا مطلب ہے "رات کو جاگنا"۔

قیام اللیل کو اسلام میں ایک انتہائی نیک عمل سمجھا جاتا ہے، اور اسے باقاعدگی سے کرنے کی سفارش کی گئی ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خود رات کو جاگ کر تہجد کی نماز پڑھا کرتے تھے اور اپنے صحابہ کو اس کی سفارش کرتے تھے۔

قیام اللیل کا وقت عشاء کی نماز کے بعد شروع ہوتا ہے اور فجر کی نماز تک جاری رہتا ہے۔ نماز کسی بھی تعداد میں ادا کی جا سکتی ہے، ہر اکائی میں نماز کی دو رکعتیں ہوتی ہیں۔ نماز کو طاق تعداد میں پڑھنا مستحب ہے، جیسے تین، پانچ، سات، یا نو۔

Qayam-ul-layl is an Islamic term that refers to the voluntary prayer performed during the night, after the Isha prayer and before the Fajr prayer. It is also known as Tahajjud prayer, which means "to wake up at night."

Performing Qayam-ul-layl is considered a highly virtuous act in Islam, and it is recommended to do so regularly. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself used to wake up at night to perform Tahajjud prayer and recommended it to his companions.

The time for Qayam-ul-layl starts after performing the Isha prayer and continues until the Fajr prayer. The prayer can be performed in any number of units, with each unit consisting of two rak'ahs (cycles) of prayer. It is recommended to perform the prayer in odd numbers, such as three, five, seven, or nine units.
